A great night. Had a very interesting chat with Andy Palmer. He's an impressive CEO. Has a real passion for the marque. And a nice chap to boot.

No invite for me last night but I did call in today. Some lovely cars on show and not many people to get in the way. The new showroom is very impressive.

Called in today.

The DB11 is stunning, it looks even better in the flesh, the DB10 was still there too and is also a much better looking car than the photos suggest.

The real star was the Vulcan, breathtaking.....

I'm so envious with all these events happening while I'm trapped at the other end of the world with business.

While New Zealand has the largest ownership of Aston Martins per capita in the world, it still takes a little while for the goodies to filter down here and I'm keen to see the DB11 asap. It'll probably be the end of the year since there have been some ordered.

We have only a couple of exotics so far... a One-77, and a just-bought Vulcan (our price NZ$4.2M / £1.98M) in which the owner will be taking passengers round a track for NZ$5,000 a turn at a launch next month. (Wondered how was he going to pay for fuel!)
