Around £6 to £7 for the bulb but £217 plus vat labour. So the 2 bulbs required equals over £500.

That is truly insane.

Do they still have to take the wheels off?

Do you mean the ones in the orange, rectangular housings in front of the wheels? Those things are a nightmare to get to because the airboxes are in the way. The labor charge is coming from removing the front bumper cover, or removing the airboxes, or going painfully slowly without removing anything.

I did mine in exactly one hour for both sides on a ramp.

Undertray off.
Air filter and air boxes out.
Sidelight out.

That's just ridiculous.

I remember when the Bentley GT first came out, if the high level brake light failed then you needed to remove the rear screen to fix it. What sort of imbecile works that into a design and thinks perfect, I've done a great job.

I appreciate some things cannot be avoided (rare engine/box out repairs etc), but come on, consumables like bulbs ARE going to need replacing, so make it simple enough pleeeaaaassseeeeee.

And the tail lights on these cars are sealed units, so if a light stops working... new tail light assembly.

I too am confused about which model is being discussed.
Presumably not the LED sidelights on a Vantage, because we have been told that really is four figure silly money.

No, it's a 2011 DBS.
