LED strip in Vantage headlights

Noticed yesterday that my LHS headlight only has the bottom half of the LED strip working, the top half is completely off.
Is this an MOT fail?
Am I right in thinking that I need to replace the whole unit at £1083+VAT (Astonmartinbits price)?

yes it is an mot fail, from memory I think someone has managed to change the strip without swapping the whole unit.......I am sure someone will be along with the link for you
