I have a 2007 DB9 and have been notified that the transmission cooler pipes are leaking. I have been quoted a not insignificant figure as apparently the replacement comes as a kit with many new parts. I was under the impression the early DB9s suffered this fault and the later cars had no issues. My VIN ends in 07268. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

i have a similar problem with my 2005 DB9 ......I was quoted £2200 to fix it but as the system is leaking so slowly ( I need to top it up every spring at a cost of £70) it's not worth it

So have checked with all the reputable indies and they pretty much quoted same price as the main dealers (£900).Might as well let the dealers have it if there's no other 'cheaper' fix.

Kit comprises of new cooler as well as pipes. It's about £500 for kit. Pig of a job as you have to lift engine slightly to allow pipes to fit into place. Also you will need se new oil. It's about £24 a litre same as Land Rover oil

Question: I have an '06 DB9 with 44,000 miles. It hasn't had any transmission cooler pipe repair or upgrade.
Is a leak inevitable at some point? Are there any DB9 owners with older cars/more miles which haven't had the leak occur?
Thanks.
