Hi all,

Strange question, but I'm going to a drive in cinema tonight, where the sound is broadcast on a local FM transmitter and played through the car stereo. The film will be about 2 hours long. Will the battery (otherwise healthy) be ok to deal with this do you think, or should I start the car up and idle ever 30 mins?

I just don't want to get to the end of the film and not be able to start the car! Any tips appreciated!

Thanks,
Nick

A radio is very low draw. Even headlights shouldn't drain a battery in 2 hours. A window defroster might, though, so make sure those are off.

Cheers,
Jeff.

Great, thanks! I'll make sure the interior fans are off too.

Almost certainly the car will come up with Low Battery warning on the dash before the film ends.

Much depends on the film of course.

And whom you are with.
