Been thinking of getting an f-type , liked the look of a storm grey v6s in Cheltenham so took a trip over.

Turns out jag is next to Aston Martin.

Jag was nice, good spec but auto, and I really wanted a manual.

"Let's just nip round the corner I say" , "ok" she says but I like the jaguar....

"Ooh thus silver one looks nice " - she says. Quick as a flash I seize the moment, nice brand ambassador comes out, test drive, papers signed.

How long is it till next Saturday ........

Silver 4.7 2010 black interior, grey brake calipers.

Will upload picture when not on my phone

Amazing how quickly an Aston kicks open your wallet! Ditto for me and the F type...

Good work !! Wonder how many sales the Jag dealer has lost in a similar manner.

Well done Wayne that's the way to do it.

I'll expect to be hearing from you or be seeing your name appear on the Burghley register very soon then.

No excuses it's part of the deal, you buy and Aston, you tell us about it then you show the world at Burghley.

See other threads to get your name badge produced ready……….:thumb up:

Brest of luck with the waiting as a week can be an awful long time…….biggrin

Funny how we never hear about someone going to see an Aston and buying an F-type instead smile Good choice! Roll on Saturday.

A great choice Wayne.
A 4.7 mark 1 classic.
I would say that though, mine is almost a twin.
Interesting that the prices have been fairly stable for four years.

I am sure you will certainly enjoy your car, and the whole Aston Martin experience.
Your dealer is well thought of too.

Checked the event but unfortunately away in France on the family holiday .

I didn't say in my post but I'm planning on using it to commute 3 or 4 times a week , 40 miles each way through A roads and a bit of m4 in Wales.

It's a good drive with some twists and some fast dual carriage way. I've tried keeping a "special"car in the past but end driving it too much, or feeling bad about leaving it at home. So this time I'm all in, daily driver through all the Welsh weather , might need some winter rubber in October .

Think I might start a new thread as a diary.

Any others using every day ?

You're not going to have a bad commute in that car, I think the wheels are the best the Vantage comes with.
