V12S manual test session at the Factory

Just had a call from the dealer inviting me to a test session at the factory next Friday - seems like it'll be about an hr. 1/2 in the car with a pro driver, so not just a 'round the block'.

Should be an interesting morning, esp. given some of the journalist's observations on the dog leg in the press this week. If nothing else it should help my decision on replace or keep (or change for something else, as am getting the hots for a nice spec Vanquish, which is not helping matters!)

Anyone else going??

I believe dealers have been given a single test slot on a specific day (its whole day AM event and sounds great), but its explicitly for sales prospects not existing customers, which is somewhat of a bit of a disappointment to me. It also requires a sales rep from the dealer to co-attend with you, presumably to ensure the sale if followed up upon in the journey home.

I've asked if in the absence of another hot prospect if I could still attend, will report back when I have heard one way or the other.

Have been made aware of the 1-1 nature of the visit but will be trying to be as objective as possible and will drive over in the 12S SSIII to be able to do the best back to back as I can manage. Dealer knows that I'm also looking closely at McL 570/650 so efforts clearly being made - and appreciated - it's always a nice experience to go to the Mothership.

Am expecting to get well excited next Friday morning!
