Aston Martin DBS Showcase Video
Discussion
Hi All,
My younger brother loves making car video's and from his 20 minutes episodes of his Initial D UK stage series packed full with VFX/CGI etc, he is currently taking time out to make car showcase video's, this video is of a DBS, no talking just the car.
Let me know what you think, it feels/looks like an Aston Martin advertisement

Thanks
Jay

Thanks for the comments guys.
He has just finished University in VFX/CGI and will be making more showcase videos on a weekly basis I think. The Initial D episodes he was doing took nearly a year each due to the VFX/GCI modeling etc.

Excellent work.
I particularly like the length of time for each shot. Sufficient tme to see the details.
Some of the recent AML films have adopted the modern practice, of only about 1 second for each shot.
I switch those off immediately.
I agree Jon, some videos are too fast, when its a car like this with so much detail It needs to be seen not flashed past. My brother made a very flashy video, quick shots but that was for a Nissan GTR breaking the world top speed record, this fit, but with the Aston he went with vintage colour grading and a softer approach. Makes me want an Aston now I particularly like the length of time for each shot. Sufficient tme to see the details.

Good effort from your brother Jay. He's worked hard at the video editing, which was nice. Not sure about the choice of tunes though! I must be getting old!
Hehe, its non copyright music so restricted in some ways.kensilver said:
Nice job. Couldn't see any camera reflected which shows attention to detail.
It's good to see exterior moving shots too since that's the view we as drivers miss out on.
Looking forward to a sunny day episode!
Thanks Ken. True the owner was eager to see the moving shots, hehe the rain worked well in the end It's good to see exterior moving shots too since that's the view we as drivers miss out on.
