Morning chaps

The AM underwent a bit of (non-warranty) maintenance work last week (bit of a bugger after a week's ownership!).

It came back having had a nice clean, however I've had two issues since:

The parking sensors didn't work properly for a couple of days (permanently on when in reverse) - now seems to be ok
One of the rear light clusters has developed some condensation

After a quick search on t'internet, it would seem that both conditions can be caused by pressure washing. Certainly not conclusive that these are dealer fault, but it's a little coincidental.

I'll be speaking to the dealer about this, but my main question is would the cluster be covered by the extended warranty?

I had a rear light cluster that was full of condemnation replaced under warranty.

I am sure you are correct that this is as a result of a jet wash. All I would suggest is put your concerns in writing to the service manager or above in case the light fails in a few months then you registered the problem.

Whenever my car goes in for service I specifically tell the dealer I do not want my car washed. Any washing / cleaning is going to be carried out by untrained staff on the lowest wage who couldn't really give a stuff about your p&j.
