V12 Primary De-Cat
Discussion
You cannot replace the primaries without changing the exhaust manifolds and that will certainly bring on the emissions light unless you modify the O2 sensors, all of which would not be looked at favourably in the event f any engine related warranty claims.
You may well be able to replace the secondaries though without too much problem.

its wrong to say the manifolds need 'changing', the existing manifolds need modification, if done by outfit of reasonable fabrication competence will look identical to a stock part when job is done. Likewise ECU reflash, if reprogramming is done by someone of reasonable competence the AMDS system will be blind to it.You may well be able to replace the secondaries though without too much problem.
its quite ironic that on some threads i read the dealer network decats secondaries and fits an aftermarket back box to help sell a car, and state in writting that warranty is unaffected, yet other mods which dont effect durability (a decat can actually only help because under bonnet temperatures will be lower and there being no risk of ingestion doesn't put motor at risk any more!) yet these might not be covered. In the eyes of the homologation spec of the car, both dont conform how it left factory, so regardless if dealer tech or indi tech bolted on parts, all are unapproved by factory.
goes back to what i said in another thread when someone said they had dealer fit decats and they had it in writing warranty was unaffected - that letter is only worth the paper its written of if it comes from factory and not a scrap of paper from dealer
