Hi all -

I've managed to scratch my bonnet trying to clean off a nice message from a bird, as you can see (hopefully) the scratches aren't deep but are obvious - can anyone suggest what I can use to polish/blend these out?

Many thanks.

Hi, I would suggest a detailing specialist. These guys have some special polishing equipment and is worth the money.
Cheers

I would stop right there and get a car detailer to sort it.

That looks like its just at the brink of not being recoverable via wet sanding down + compound polishing back up. And if thats the case, it means respraying which will cost an awful lot more.

General rule is if the scratches catch your finger nail, its too far gone.

Most detailers will come to you and could probably sort for circa £60 ish... or whilst there, pay them to give it a very light once over... you'd be amazed what they can achieve.

Agreed. Just be gentle with him.

It's like buying Botox for your wife but just as beneficial

At least I didn't have my arse out in that pic!

That can only be removed with machine polishing. Nothing is going to shift that by hand.

I'd use Francis....but definitely not for a hand job...and most definitely not if he has his arse out.

Before you use ANY cloth/Microfiber on your car wipe it over the playing surface of an 'OLD' CD/DVD. If it leaves scratches on there it will leave scratches on your paintwork...
