Evening all,

Looking for some thoughts about independent servicing for the V12V. A quick google suggests several options, including spellbound in Farnham and AHM near Hartley Wintney. I'm looking for someone good, but crucially relatively close. I'm rapidly losing interest in the main dealer network as they are still insisting on quoting for full schedule as opposed to menu servicing for my 2010 car….

Cheers!

Menu servicing - is that when you don't have a full service, just the stuff you want off the list and not the stuff you don't?

Not an expression I've heard before!

Jonnie,

I've used Spellbound for my 2011 V12 Vantage and have to say very happy with the attention to detail and actual service. Suggest you contact Andy Weller and go have a look around thier facility, you'll be impressed. It's almost like a mini Aston Martin works in that not only do they service cars they also carry out full restoration work!

Quite so - it is, I believe, the standard on post-2012? cars (stands by to be corrected) based on the assumption that a lot of cars are toys and get nothing like the regular mileage. For one reason and another I only did a couple of thousand miles last year, and feel slightly miffed at being quoted £1400 for the 'full' service when I can reasonably specify what I want doing!

Cheers, I will beetle down for a look! Funnily enough the garages there used to belong to Hawthorns back when they were a TVR dealer and many moons previously. It would appear to be a 'carpet right' now :sigh:

I'd be tempted to make the trip to Bamford Rose, recently had my V12V serviced there fantastic service as ever.

Especially as there was an issue with the brakes, which they dealt with extremely well for me.

I've also used Spellbound, and have been happy with them - although I thought that some of the things they identified at the last service were perhaps a little unnecessary.

Good point, I think they have a high attention to detail I had notified a couple of the support struts on the grill were loose, a door sill was worn and the headlights units were slightly out of alignment. All cosmetic but on inspection did make quite a difference and all sorted.
