Launch video hosted by Martin Brundle: https://www.periscope.tv/w/1mrGmzEqOqWJy

Reveal around 15 minutes in after dramatic entrance by Daniel Ricciardo...who then reveals right at the end of the launch which car he drives!! Yes it's an Aston Martin!

Edited to say DC drives a V12VS!

Was just being shown on Facebook live.

It looks ok from the back forward, and then you notice the front.......

Interesting Andy Palmer said over 2,000 orders for DB11, that's circa £1/3 Billion!

That was fast. Didn't think this was going to have anything for another year or so.

Hi Tim,

Is it as small as it looks?

It's a tiny car, incredibly low and there are no bulky body parts so it gives a very small appearance. Looking underneath is spectacular because it's exceptionally hollow and prepared for aero to do its thing.

I can't wait to see the reviews and thoughts on it. If it can take AM to a new level where Ferrari and Porsche are fair game it could get very interesting.

Remind me never, ever to go on general gassing again. Its a little embarrassing. This is meant to be a forum for petrolheads, I can understand people not liking the looks (that's a personal thing) but there's a whole group of people saying "ooh, it wont make for a very good road car, where's the luggage space".

Personally I think if you cant get even a little excited about a car company looking to make a 900kg/900bhp car that goes as fast as an LMP1 then you might have already died banghead

not much released as yet, but aim is brand new v12 (made by / where is a mystery) with 900 bhp

KERS but not conventional hybrid

aim is for 900 - 1000kg, so 1bhp per kg

that's all for the road car - 99 units

then 24 track day specials

plus pos a handful of 'specials' - 150 max max limit

already 3-400 serious expressions of interest before today's announcement - I know 3 ppl desperate for one who are still waiting to hear

Looking at the front design, it might qualify for front number plate official exemption, as per Ferrari Enzo.

An interesting circle of friends, Jonby.

As the recent limited edition Astons sold out so quickly, the Company might have regrets
about setting those numbers too low.
This time there is a more subtle approach. Announce the numbers, but don't set the price.
If there is an over subscription, then raise the price to help the profitability of the project.
