I need to replace the rear tyres on my V12V. The fronts are fine.

The car is currently fitted with Pirelli's.

I know that the correct/conventional protocol is to run the same brand (and therefore pattern) on both axles.

However, I want to change to MPSS.

If I change just the rears now and the fronts when required, will I survive or die in a ball of flames?

50/50 I would say.

Worse case scenario I'll do you a discount on the box. Can't say fairer than that.

What sort of discount are we talking?

If it's more than a set of front tyres we've got a deal.

I'll probably need the box sooner anyway.

Lol you could buy 4 of my boxes for what you're about to pay.

Pretty sure you will be fine running the 2 types wink

Currently switching my DD to MPSS and running rears only so far with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's on front. No issues.

Glad to hear you are still alive Ken and not looking forward to taking advantage of Jockman's very generous discount deals.

I'll sleep easy. smile

A dealer would charge you that much for a single rear tyre!

I'd rather have a tyre that lets me use the car pretty much all of the time.

Decent price though.

Just put the Michelins on the back you will have no problems.
Basic rule is same tyres on same axle.
