...er, why?? Aston is arguably the coolest brand the UK has, and has several bona-fide supercars in its stable. It deserves to be moved out of "other marques" imho.

Who agrees? Shall we petition PH to recognise this fact?!

This issue seems to come around every 12 months or so, it does seem to be one of the most active sub-forums and probably deserves to be somewhere more prominent

But a lot of people seem to like having it slightly out of the way; you have to make an effort to get heresmile

Personally I don't mind one way or the other

I think HSV & Monaro has a better claim.

?? ** I ** mind. It doesn't reflect the status of Aston Martin as a global brand of the highest reverence.

I guess though, that's the British way? Run down and disparage all that's great about us? Well, I won't do that. I'm PROUD of us, proud of all my forefathers achieved. Proud of the hard work and blood they sacrificed, for a future we now seem "embarrassed of". Fk that... we brought civilisation to an uncivilised world, FFS!

It's time to think like the Americans; proud of our country, our history, our culture.; our legacy.

But unlike them and their puffed-up bluster... WE truly ARE "exceptional"!

/rant mode: off ;-)

Prefer to be unassuming and understated, like my Aston, otherwise I would have bought an R8Lamberrari.

Errr! It's just an online chat forum 😀
I don't think it translates in any way to real life brand positioning or exclusivity and style,

This cool

Leave the Porsches and Ferrari's (*) for what they are. Astons are for connaisseurs. Astons are for people who like wine and quality beer. For people who like art, but are not art snobs. For people who like Stanley Kubrick instead of Christopher Nolan. For people who like to listen to Dave Brubeck while driving instead of The Stones.

Leave it in "other marques". It's fine where it is.

There is only one 'modern' Ferrari that doesn't scream 'look at me': the 550/575. The Ferrari for people with taste!

Does it? One-77 at a push (although more of a GT?), and maybe the Vulcan (more a track day special). Can't really think of any others I'd describe as a supercar.

Why does Ferrari get V8, V12 and Classics forums? Another three for Lamborghini as well. TVR gets SIXTEEN!!

Enough is enough.

We, the undersigned, kindly request Piston Heads to acknowledge the current and growing importance of the Aston Martin brand. To fully represent its proportion of total forum activity we ask them to consider a separate section under the Gassing Station for Aston Martin and sub-forums therein.

We may be well dressed, classy and polite.. But fear us at your peril.

I think the reason that the forum is active is due to the fact that we don't have sub-forums.
By creating sub forums would mean that new threads and replies would be diluted across a wider area and hence not get the singular visibility that we currently enjoy.
I quite like the varied mix of 'stuff' on various topics, cars and eras in one place - it certainly keeps it varied and me entertained.

Rappa out!

Hope the rest of your countrymen don't have such a low opinion of your countries closest and oldest ally in the world.

smile Oh and your forum name seem a bit blasphemous.

I'd agree with Rappa. Not bothered about where the forum sits but I don't think splitting it into sub-forums would be good - I like to be able to glance in quickly and see what's new in a single forum
