Vanquish prices
Discussion
Hi all,
I have been keeping my eye on 2-3 year old Vanquish prices for the past 12 months or so.
Around 12 months ago the "cheapest" ones were around £120k.
12 months on the cheapest ones are still around £120k.......
Entirely crystal ball time, but where do people see the prices of these going? Or in other words, at £120k is it a potentially relatively depreciation proof option?
Not looking to change right now due to a home renovation project, but fancy a treat when it's finished
Would love some insight from those more familiar with the brand, I have had Maserati's, Porsche's, many BMW's and currently an RS7 but never had an Aston, however the Vanquish is a grail car and if prices are as firm as they appear from my limited observations then £120k might be the right time to get into one.....
Thanks for any input!

I keep rough list of prices YoY to create a spot price for the market on DBS / Vanquish / DB9. It is very rough and I have thought about building a more comprehensive spot price database. DBS is roughly £10k up over 12 months and Vanquish is £2.5k down. The small data sets mean the value can be influenced by just a couple of car sales.

and the DB9...?cayman-black said:
I had a look at that on Friday, looks great in the photo but as soon as I saw it in the flesh so to speak I thought no way, but obviously colour choice is completely subjective and I'm colour blind.
What do people think prices might do in the long term? My gut feeling is that they will dip down to the price of a 2005 Vanquish, where as its possible the V12V will do much better and hang around the 100k point depending on how well received the new Vantage/Vanquish are in the next few years?
Also while I'm here.
why is it that I've seen three Vanquish all advertised for sale and they've all been unprepared. Each one needed a good clean inside and out. Wouldn't you have thought selling a car over 100k it would be prepared to look immaculate and cherished? Edited by Quarterly on Tuesday 9th August 20:18

Where did you view the cars? Please tell me they weren't at Aston dealerships?
I'd rather not say, but I was told they had only just come in etc.. Would snap one up at £100k without a moments hesitation! My problem is it is hard seeing them go there anytime soon based on it being difficult to see them generally being cheaper than a DBS - or am I being shortsighted in considering the 2 as being linked?
There was one up in Scotland which I "think" dropped to about £115k, it was black outside but had a very questionable interior.......
If I had a crystal ball and knew they wouldn't drop much from £120k I would jump in but I just can't quite convince myself quite yet.

Lovely colour. Think I would be boring and stick to black though

This will be interesting. In theory, the Vanquish 2 should always be worth more than the DBS not least because the DBS is just an upgraded DB9, but also because the Vanquish 2 like the Vanquish 1 were new cars. In the end it may just come down to production numbers and maybe even the Bond connection. I guess we shall see once the Vanquish 2 production ends and it's replacement goes on sale.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
