Just put a bid in, Nick.

Might have to sell the Corsa to finance this one.

Says on the blurb that it's the first of only 8 RHDs. I hope you corrected them on that, though I know you like to keep quiet on that subject biggrin

"Carbon ceramic discs and pads replaced at 43,000 miles".
I thought ceramic discs lasted a bit longer than just 43,000 miles, slightly worrying for us owners of carbon ceramic discs equipped cars!

This is a car I agreed to buy last year but when I went to collect it, it had clearly been tracked to death with worn out discs and generally uncared for. I walked away, just not as described

Not a nice car

That might explain why a car, that would otherwise be sold at a dealership, is going through an auction house

If someone has put new CCM's on the car I suspect they have spent a few quid on cosmetics as well to bring the car up to scratch. I assume you can view before you bid?

Zero interest in the room, auctioneer talked it up all by himself, as they do!

How odd it didn't sell, without doubt it's a collectors car based on rarity and the guide price seemed right to me even if it needed a small relative sum in workshop to bring it up to tip top level of upkeep.

http://www.rmsothebys.com/lf16/london/lots/2012-as...

This one did sell - several zags have sold for similar sums to my knowledge making this sale figure the norm benchmark of Zag value. It will be interesting to see if GT12 or GT8 ever appreciates to the same % . I doubt it, and now several years on despite initial criticism, Zag has proven itself as a solid collectors car / value.

Give it 10 years and no Zag will trade for less than £1m, and give it 20 years and I'm sure this particular DBS Volante Manual will have a sale price starting close to a '2' so why it didn't sell and get tucked away in collection is a surprise to me.
