Hello,
I've just put down a deposit 2009 4.7 V8V and just sorting out some of the necessaries before picking it up ;-).

I was just wondering if anyone knows what sort of connector there is in the boot to connect a conditioner to?. I'm reading it's either a 3pin XLR or a cigarette lighter type connection and don't want to plunge for the wrong type. I'm hoping that I can just purchase an extra connector that will work with my current CTEk Multi XS3600 so if anyone has tried this combo any info gratefully received also.

Thanks All :-)

Hi Thomas,

I have a 2009 V8VR and have a cigarette style connector in the boot to which I connect my conditioner to. Don't forget when you get your Aston to post a photo - no photo, then it isn't real!!

Great choice by the way - for me the best outside and the best inside of all the Model years.

Thanks 66MK, that's a great bit of info...

Yeah, really forward to picking it up now, spent a couple of years toying with picking one up but decided to wait till there were coffers in the bank for a 4.7.

Don't worry photo on the way!

I had my 911 battery wired up with the correct ctek connectors , for my vantage I just bought the cigarette lighter fitting off eBay or Amazon for about £7 or £8 delivered.

Which is where it is currently being used as I'm away on holiday.

Thanks for confirming Buster, bought a cigarette connector for the CTEK last night as thought I'd give this a go anyway so good to know it'll work.

Enjoy your holidays and thanks for responding :-)

2009 4.7 V8V is my favourite too. Worth checking the battery as my one was still the original and I only recently had to renew it. Not bad! With a new battery it will last a week without charging but shuts down after two weeks. Pressing the battery kill switch, situated in the boot also just below the charging socket, seems to make no difference. If the battery does die, then you will need to re-learn the Windows etc. But there is lots of excellent advice on this forum and only takes a minute.

Enjoy!

I have the same connection in my vanquish and was delighted to spot that Ctek do a connection for a mobility scooter that uses the XLR. I am happy to report that for under a tenner my Ctek hooks up perfectly to the Vanq.

Here's the link if you're interested.

Thanks arp489j, I'll check the battery when I pick up the car but will definitely keep it ticking over on a trickle charger, shame the battery kill switch doesn't do the trick though but one of the quirks you learn to live with I guess.

I also found the XLR connector for the CTEK JamesB but mine does require the cigarette lighter variety(wonder if it vapes!), glad you found a convenient solution to power your very nice mobility scooter ;-)
