DB7 central dashboard air vents
Discussion
Hi all.
I have a DB7 Vantage and recently the central air vents only allow air through intermittently. I've tried all settings of the controls but sometimes the vents work but usually they don't. I know that the DB7 heating/ventilation system is known to not be great but any ideas as what might be wrong?

Sounds like the doors on the HVAC unit may be sticking. Probably a cable or servo motor problem that control the doors used to open and close the flaps (doors) when you adjust the control.
On my Jaguar XKR (which I think is the same system as the DB7) there was a self diagnostic check in the climate control to test the function of the HVAC.
Ignition off - hold down the Auto and Recirc buttons and key on.
Press auto to see if any codes are stored then press the Recirc button to do a self test.
Press the face button to scroll through the codes.
Worth a try on the Aston
