Shmee gets the DB11 at Gaydon and has just released the review.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sermXTCyp54

Ive not even watched it myself so cant comment but as much as he has his detractors, i quite like his reviews and he does have good history with Astons.

Yes, and as I mentioned in another thread, it's a good length video as well. He always goes into proper detail in his reviews which I like. Can't understand the hate really...

Watched it and showed some good interior detail. Not too sure of the dash. I like hi-tech stuff and it seems the way with high end cars that TFT HD screens are the norm but i still think analogue suits Astons more.
He seems to like the noise. Not too sure but i sensed it droned a little during his drive. But hey, you need to hear it yourself really.
Good review though.

He was at Gaydon on Monday, I was there on my factory tour.
Me, my DB9 and my mate made a very brief appearance in it.
Wish I'd known it was him but was a bit late for the tour and couldn't hang around. wavey

Best review I have seen on the DB11.

I've seen a couple where the reviewers were dressed like a homeless person, couldn't believe they would be seen on camera looking like that.

Agree 100%. In fact I remembered watching a Car Throttle review of the Vanquish and they got the car hand washed at a supermarket car park and then got a McDonalds drive through and ate it in the car.

I know Car Throttle are tongue in cheek (and love their videos) but man I cringed when watching that one... nono

Too beautiful a car to treat like that.

Wow, it the same Car Throttle. You don't have to wear a suit, but look at this slob. No respect for the people letting you test their car.

I actually quite like this reviewer... seems more knowledgeable and less of a child than the rest of the CT 'squad'.
Not a pinch on Alex Goy / XCAR / Carfection though...

I managed a 3 min flick through... He must have gills to breathe as his words flow like am unyielding torrent wink Horses/courses vlog style smile

Looks great in that (Cinnabar?) colour mind. Sounded very AMG bassy.

I must admit I liked the reference to the "speaker" in the roof panel indicating why the sound was so good.

I wonder where the microphone is for the hands free telephone..................

Other than that s good comprehensive review.

Young chap works hard, does well for himself and lives the dream. What's not to be jealous about if you're a lazy keyboard warrior that only has time to be critical of everyone other than yourself. :-)

Really? What does it matter what he wears? He's reviewing a modern Aston, not a DB6. I was chatting to a friend about work wear. I work in a senior corporate position and I haven't worn a suit or tie in years. Nor have any of my customers. In fact we concluded that the only people who over dress are estate agents and people in retail. I dare say that many DB11 buyers won't dress a million miles from the reviewer.

Just to be clear, my dislike was purely for his style of delivery.

His attire has nothing to do with the review. He is not purchasing the car. He was invited by Aston Martin to drive and review the car. He producing a video to be seen by hopefully a lot of people who are actually interested in the car. I just think it does not show much respect for Aston Martin or the viewers to be dress like a slob. It does not take a lot of effort to put on a clean shirt, comb your hair, trim your beard and look presentable, I didn't say he had to wear a suit. I am not judging him as a person, just his presentation, whether he is reviewing an Aston Martin or a Hyundai.

Apologies. I was talking about the commenters on YouTube.

Whether you think he looks like a slob or not is irrelevant to the review of the car. The upcoming generation of DB11 buyers might relate to that look more than if he showed up wearing a clean shirt and neatly trimmed beard.
