DB9 Check Engine light?
Discussion
Hi,
Just doing some research before my ignition coil replacement job in a couple of weeks time. Before I disconnect the battery I will remove the fuel relay and run the engine to depressurise the fuel system. This is all straight forward but my question is..... I believe running the engine down to depressurise the fuel system will generate 2 fault codes in the ECU, after the job is complete and the fuel system is repressurised and healthy will the fault codes cause the Check engine light to illuminate??
I don't have an OBDII reader which I believe can reset these codes, if anyone has done this type of work did you need to goto a main dealer for a code reset?
Thanks for any advice.
Paul.
