Glueing back START glass

I know this has been discussed here before, but the search facility and/or my inability to use the right search terms has left me short.
What is the view on affixing back the glass on the START portion of the glass under the actual "ECU" key slot? It's actually taken the S with it leaving an inappropriate, though possibly accurate, TART.
