Well after 5 years of marriage to the Db9 which has been 5 years of amazing memories meeting great forum members in what is a fantastic car that's been pamper and never missed a beat, my head has been turned by two stunners one Italian and one British, they haven't met yet but I think I might have to keep them apart,

Earlier in the year I collected a lotus exige v6 soft top

And yesterday I picked up the 4c from promus vehicles - great guys to deal with by the way

And said bye bye to the 9

Hopefully in the future I will return to the fold when second hand values get into my ball park although the 11 doesn't float my boat !
Until then I will always have the Aston forum as my first look,

Shame but enjoy the new cars.

Although we have never met, whilst lurking on this forum for a couple of years before I bought mine, your positive comments helped me decide that DB9 ownership was in fact a good proposition.

I'm a self-confessed Alfaholic and love the look of the 4c, but reviews are mixed. So I'd love to hear the views of a "real" person on the car if you ever get a chance to give us an update

Interesting combo Mike, how do they compare? In my head (having never driven both), I'd almost group the 2 new cars as very similar so keen to hear your thoughts smile

Thanks for the kind words guys
The exige is the soft top and I have to say a bit of a brute with a manual box back to basics
The Alfa is more of a gentleman but not a British gent in the Aston sense, power delivery is more refined as is the cabin although the heater looks like it's come from a punto!
Has a bit of turbo lag but when you are in the sweet spot wow ! Also the tram lining that is know for isn't really evident , I would say as much as any car on wide low profile tyres,
I will be back in the Aston fold again but couldn't face upgrading to the same car only newer ! My 9 was a great car, and I have got to say this is a great forum
smile

Pair of bloody loosers!

Sorry to see you moving on as well Mike. Hope you return and for a bit longer than Phil's rebirth!
Your car wasn't old! Mines old.
