MY2006.5 Leaky Damper/Shock options
Discussion
My car was recently diagnosed with the dreaded leaking shock on the rear. I was wondering what options there are to replace the original shocks.
Without having my head under the wheel arch yet to see what the original manufacturer was (Dynamics/Multimatic !?!) just wanted to know what others have done when this has happened.
Obviously will be replacing as a pair and not looking to change the stiffness/ride height etc. Just keep it stock.
Any advice would be appreciated, especially part numbers to start chasing some prices.

Is it really leaking or just a weep? if the latter you may go for years without replacing them
or Have a look on www.astonmartinbits.com for a pair of OE shocks
or save up some more and upgrade to say Nitrons
or even more and go switchable suspension from Bamford Rose

I don't know part numbers, but I was told I had a leaking front shock at the service in March - think it cost me ~£1200 for a new pair, although that was probably parts only price plus vat and whatever the fitting was.
Afterwards, there were a number of posts similar to the one above that it might have been a tad premature to replace them.
