Hello everyone, so I have finally decided to buy a DB9 rather than get something I half want as a middle ground.

Euro - GBP rate is excellent at the moment so want to take advantage before it creeps up ...

There is a lovely Oyster + Red DB9 for sale on auto trader at £39,999 ( manuals only).

I was wondering if anyone knows the car, I know it's a bit of a long shot but they are bloody rare, maybe 1 new one every fortnight!

As a starting point, these screenshots are taken from the mobile Vehicle Smart app. Always a good start when looking to purchase.

If you download the app, you can also select each MOT individually and see what advisories were documented.

The app is also very useful, especially if you have a number of cars, to keep track of MOT, insurance, service dates etc. Just use the 'My Garage' facility and add them in.

https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk

The DVLA MOT history check web page also gives a bit more detail.
Looks as though it has only done a few hundred miles since its last MOT in 2015

Do you think it is worth placing a wanted Ad on Pistonheads?

Perhaps tempt someone who is / was going to p/x trade their car in?

I may be tempted to part with my pride and joy very soon as it looks like a house move in the new year may be on the cards to Lancashire, and its definately the land of 4 x 4's (already got one so covered there) although the roads over the peaks are great fun as did them 2 weeks ago in the DB9 with the wife whilst area hunting, and the flappy paddle gear change comes into its own.

Overview - 2005 DB9 in silver with black leather in pristine condition as is my pride and joy (like most other PH's),
38,000 with FAMSH; last serviced Tuesday.
Auto gearbox with sport button.
Cruise control
Bluetooth (aftermarket - Parrot system)
Upgrades include:
Glass button upgrade on gear selectors,
Metal knob upgrade on stereo buttons,
Paintshield film on side sills fitted (full length) 3 years ago on my purchase from Aston Martin in Amersham (7 years warranty remaining),
Alacantra steering wheel.
Carbon fibre (dipped) ski slope, door sills (including boot), door handles, side strakes.
Updated alloys with a 5th new front as a spare,
LED interior light upgrade,
Jaguar key fob conversion,
Ultimate Covers waterproof outdoor car cover in grey / blue,
Alloys unmarked as 'alloy gators' fitted since new
Host of other bits and bobs including AM battery conditioner etc etc.
PM me if of interest.

Looks as follows (although side strakes are silver in picture but are now carbon fibre)

Hi

Yes the MOT was completed today, as I have just collected it. Sorry to say the advert just not have been taken off.

You are right, the manuals are very rare and in this colour combo I just had to buy it

The chap who posted above, manual only this is my main criteria.

Hello John! Enjoy!! How was it up close? I could get to the UK in time to view, good price too.

I am still searching.

It is great close up, new clutch, coils, radiator, springs, full history, major fluid service done, it doesn't want for anything other than a proper clean, machine polish, leather clean and wax.

I'm made up to have found my dream car in perfect colours with incredible history in my budget

There were a couple of others after it but for once I was the one that got it

Tad jealous, really nice colour combination!
