Door chime

Any ideas on this one, when I open the drivers door sometimes the chime goes off and other times it will chime once or twice and then others no chime at all.
Everything else works window drop interior light.
Any ideas????

Not much help, but I've noticed mine does this sometimes. It seems like a fairly quiet chime but that might be because I'm not yet in the car. I think it tends to happen if I unlock the car and then very quickly open the door - almost like it wasn't quite ready for the door to be opened - but that might be my imagination.

Well it can't be the unlocking lark as mine is generally left open when on the drive, just seems to have a mind of it's own

I had a right PITA with unidentified chimes - this after the dealer updated software (unbeknown to me) and it just started chiming at me every time and just behaved differently. What was it trying to tell me?! The factory eventually said it was something to do with switching the car on before everyone puts their (4) seat belts on. This took many man hours to conclude that its an annoying absolute nonsense! So try your seatbelts!

Hi Ken don't think it's that because it stops chiming before you have a chance to get your bum in the seat on times
