Ok so after having the car a few weeks and covering a couple of hundred miles, we are planning to travel from Stafford via Ashbourne to Bakewell on Sunday for a spot of lunch.

Planning to go home via the Hope Valley and Buxton.

Anyone around to say hi or join us for part of the run?

We're staying in a hotel near Hope over Christmas, and there's a place nearby called Aston smile

Hi, that's in my neck of the woods. Might be able to join you in Buxton after lunch and show you some of the quitter roads. Do you have an idea of timings?

Hi, We have just been to Bakewell this morning and arrived at 9am so we're able to park. When we left at 11 there were queues for the car park and stacked back to the Sheffield end of town with I guess a two hour wait. You could not access the town as the queue was on the main road. The Ashbourne end of town was less crowded but still no parking. The reason was the annual Christmas market and it's on this Sunday as well. If your lunch venue has parking then you will be fine.

Wow....thanks for the heads up, we hadn't booked anywhere so plans changing.

Now heading to the Pack Horse at Crowdecote for lunch with shopping in Ashbourne and a ride through the Hope Valley.

Hope the weather stays dry!

Can't make it to join you for part of the run today but that is definitely my neck of the woods so if your doing something similar in the future gives us all a bit more notice and we can make a group run of it. Enjoy your day.

Two kids in tow today so I'm in the disco bus. Must arrange a four counties meet when the weather is more dependable
