Window squeaking

Hi my window is squeaking on my db9 volante I have tried silicone spray but works only as a quick fix then it comes back.
Why is it making this noise
What's the best way to fix it

I use a solution called gummipflege which is essentially silicon based, but you rub in with a cloth as opposed to spraying it on. The seals tend to only need one application per season.

It's a generic term for the treatment so is available under many different brands.

It's a vestige of my days driving BMW. I still have lots left after many years of service from a small bottle.
