Trying to locate a 1965 Silver Birch DB5 - BJC909C
Discussion
I'm trying to locate my Grandfathers old DB5. Registration was BJC909C and he bought it new in 1965.
It was a light gold colour which is most likely to have been Silver Birch.
I've sent a request plus payment with the V888 form to the DVLA for info but thought I would post on here to see if A) anyone knows of the car and B) if anyone can point me in a direction other than the DVLA with a view to finding it or at least its last whereabouts.
My Grandfathers Name was John Elfed Griffith of Tremadog in North Wales.
Thanks

I would check with tim cottingham (the registrar) over at AMOC
However it's not currently registered under that plate, so it may have gone abroad. But tim might be able to help
Curious that you say it was a light gold colour, that doesn't sound like silver birch (or a standard db5 paint colour)

Thanks for the reply. I will contact Tim.
Yes Autumn Gold could well be it. He had it new but I'm not sure from which dealer. I don't imagine that there were too many dealers in the UK at that time. He had a business based out of Llandudno so he may well have bought from the Chester area if there was a dealer there which would have been the closest geographically. Interestingly, the registration is BJC, JC being Caernarfonshire, North Wales was where he was living so he had it registered on a local plate as against the area the car was bought from.
Cheers

It's still around. Was owned by a member of Duran Duran back around 1988. No longer has the original registration. I suggest you check in with AMHT to get details. http://www.amht.org.uk/
