Guys,

My friend imported his 2006 V8V to Oz from the UK.
The front indicator has blown and he's been told he needs a new complete headlight unit.
Being in oz, not much Aston support there.

We're pretty sure the part number is:

6G33-13W029-DE (right handside unit)

Anyone able to confirm?
Anyone recommend anywhere to pick up a used unit? New one is about £1100 plus VAT and shipping.
Is there a fix without replacement required?

TIA
Gareth

Hi Gareth have a look on the six speed forum, someone on there does a good write up on a fix.

They can be repaired.
Take a look in the FAQ section of the form and scan down
There is a company in Letchworth that does them
They repiared mine at a fraction of the cost of a new one and with a two year warrenty
No brainer!!

Front indicator bulb Sir?
Yes, that will be £1,300.
With such a bargain price for a bulb, would Sir also like to take a spare for the left hand side.
Will that be AMEX for £2,600. Please call again Sir.

Is your friend still saying, "No worries", or has he passed out, Gareth?

Will you be trying the Letchworth repair, Mark?

Seems to be the lowest cost option, and even if we can easily pay (is it about) £1,300 for a new headlight, I would feel 'taken for a ride'.

Edit. Just realised 'only had for a few days', so presumably no cost to you.
