Rapide owners - rear seat belt alarm sans passengers?

Just wondering if any of the distinguished Rapide owners on here have experienced this particular niggle..?

Having had some passengers in the rear I restarted the car on my next journey only for it to sound the rear seat belt alarms despite there not being any. Any thoughts on why this might be and how I can fix it?

Try pressing the "Read" button on the centre console.

There is also a more complex procedure (that takes about 2 mins) that turns off the rear seat belt alarm permanently, but I don't have access to my handbook just now
