I had my first proper drive today in my recently purchased 2010 Manual V12V (Not including the tedious drive home on the M25 when I picked it up.)
I'm still excited about this car and can't see that ending any time soon.
It feels totally different to anything I've driven before. Turbine smooth but with an edge. The power delivery reminds me of that on my Honda Fireblade, linear and relentless, without the need to change down to get instant power. Conditions today were patchy damp and cold, not ideal for good traction on the Pirelli Corsas. I'm looking forward to experiencing the massive grip that everyone raves about in the dry. Awesome car thumbup

Bought this back in October, funnily enough from the same dealer and salesman as you!

Still love it but agree that the Pirelli tyres seem useless in the damp but will probably swap to Super Sports in the spring.

Enjoy

Welcome to the V12 Club, would that be a Grange Brentwood car by any chance? If so,mine also came from them. I agree with your comment about the Corsa's great summer tyres but oh boy a bit hairy in this weather. So I changed to Pilot Sports 6 weeks ago and what a difference- can still let go but nowhere near as much as the Corsa's did. Enjoy.

Fastandcurious pic looks to be Cambridge.

Pilot Sports are definitely better but then again Teflon tyres would offer better grip than the Corsas in cold damp conditions.

I think the point is he is suggesting swapping OUT of the Corsa's in spring - which is just the time when they begin to be good! One should swap out of Corsa's in Autumn, not Spring... confused

Corsas are dangerous and spoil the fun except on warm dry days. I ordered a second set of wheels with the Winter SottoZeros and a second smart-tire TPMS box... programmed for the extra set. That way I can swap back and forth easily... well worth it.
