B&O sound system - not so great
Discussion
I'm new into a Rapide S with the B&O system and the sound system sounds pretty poor (and Rapide has extra rear room for music depth). Ive had AMs with the premium audio's before and they've sounded superb. Can this B&O deficiency be true (given the 5,000 price difference)?
Or am i missing something re setup?
Thanks

I had B&O in my DBS, and have to say that to me it never really sounded quite right.. I also spent quite a bit of time in the 1 year + of ownership trying various adjustments, but could never get it just right. Recently I tested a 2017 vantage with the premium audio and found that it sounded better, even without having to spend much time adjusting it. I guess it might have something to do with the way the sound is projected from through the B&O acoustic lenses.
I have a V12 AMR on order with B&O, but I'm not sure anymore if I'm willing to accept the poorer (to me) sound, just so I can have the tweeters that rise and fall... I was certain I wanted it because it does add that extra dose of specialness to the whole experience, but must admit I'm now in two minds about it.

I have B&O and the sound is great. Never been able to hear the other options so I can't compare. So either the sound is outstanding or I have a serious hearing problem!
To be honest, it wasn't too much of of an issue for me before as I hadn't compared the B&O in my car, to the premium audio in the loan car..NeinFondue said:

I'm kind of convinced the Premium Audio is better. You pay for the B&O tweeters and grills but I think it's no better, worse even. I tried a bunch of different configurations today and just can't get it to sound decent.
I think you have just started B&O-gate I had the premium audio in an N400 which was great.....but now have B&O and I must say I can hear the difference, have heard parts of songs that have never heard before. I drove 450 miles in the N400 roadster to collect V12VR played the same cd's on the way there and back.....B&O is the mutts.......

Adding to Sportshift-gate & Seat-gate!
So, if you have a car with B&O, Sportshift and non Lightweight seats, it's probably best to get it crushed. As an aside I have a B&O bluetooth speaker. It looks the part, but sounds ste compared to two others I have, which were significantly less expensive. (UE Roll and Bose).

Well, I'll have mine crushed then (I do have the Lightweight seats but that's also open to debate). As an aside I have a B&O bluetooth speaker. It looks the part, but sounds ste compared to two others I have, which were significantly less expensive. (UE Roll and Bose).
I have the Beosound2 Bluetooth speaker and it is great! I definitely have a hearing problem!
I'll go and shoot myself after having crushed my car!
