Hi Guys,

Rather than get into arguments (like the other feed on the new vantage).

I'd like to see some peoples choices/views on how they would or have specced the new vantage with photos etc if possible.
A constructive discussion (one can hope)

One thing I have noticed - its very easy to get out of hand - I'd like to see the price list PDF to actually cross match as I know the carbon gets VERY expensive (£30k with every carbon option apparently which to me sounds nuts!!!)

Unfortunately I am not personally ordering one but I am helping my boss spec/order one - just so long as he doesn't order black I will be happy.
But trying to convince him to go a bit 'out there' and be bold just like the new car is.

FYI. If you are looking at Skyfall, or Lightning Silver, I suspect the 2 colours are the wrong way round. Skyfall has a hint of blue, whereas Lightning is genuinely silver [with a pearlescent clearcoat].

Somebody had better tell my lightning silver Vantage that then as it changes colour depending upon the amount of sun and clouds. In the Sky. On a sunny day it’s blue hue is obvious, on a cloudy day it’s silver.

Definite blue in there though!

Not sure if you got this figure from one of my posts, but this was the figure I was told at the Vantage Confidential event.

Not too surprising really if you look at the costs of the CF on the outgoing V12VS. The CF roof was £6k, the CF exterior pack £3k, the CF bonnet vents £2k, the interior centre stack 1.5k and the interior door grabs £2k, oh and the aerokit £13k - so there is £27.5k in total!

According to this article the full CF options on a McLaren 720s come to £59k so puts it all in perspective really. smile

Maybe something like this, would be useful if the site showed the full price with options like the Porsche site does.

I seem to recall the CF roof for new vantage is quite a bit cheaper (3kish ?) but the rest of the exterior CF options can be bought as a pack for c. 6k, so less than £10k for exterior CF. I might be mis-remembering. There is no aerokit equivalent to the AMR kit of course but interior wise, there seems a lot more potential carbon

It's starting to grow on me, especially after some tinkering with the on line configuration tool. It's a shame there are no indications of prices though. I was expecting to see an all in number at the end of the process. Here's what I came up with. (Still think Adam's car takes some beating though!) I am yet to see the new model in real life, but I am hoping to rectify that in January, and that could be the deal maker.

Best Regards

Minglar

very nice indeed. the reds on the callipers and the rear lights work particularly well against the green. Though personally I'd either go black window trim as you have black wheels, or silver wheels (which would look great on that spec) to match the silver window trim

A £130k car is possible if you avoid CF, changing the standard colour of grilles, window trim, exhaust tips, interior trim, brake calipers etc ..

love the Q orange

Firstly before I start posting more on the AM forum again, I'd like to extend my deepest humblest apologies if I managed to rub any the loyal AM squad up the wrong way previously. I can be a grumpy olde bugger (56) especially after the first bottle of Rioja...I now solemnly swear I will never, ever post after I have opened the second bottle of Rioja! angel

OK chaps, I have paid my deposit with the Barista and am now waiting for my new Vantage to be built, Q2 (May) 2018 fingers crossed. Hopefully to take delivery, with a fair wind and a bit of luck, ready to drive down to Monaco for the GP. My spec and price is below...although this has not been locked down yet and is likely to change. The only thing that won't change is the colour...Magnetic Silver. Creative suggestions on options welcome. My first go at the spec brought the car it at £151K. I thought, for me, it was too much so I took stuff off e.g. comfort pack, heated seats, cruise control and some carbon.

All of this is subject to me driving the car, but I truly do not think I am going to be in the slightest bit disappointed! driving

This is the first Aston Martin I have had the pleasure of speccing from new. The previous three were dealer stock cars.

I'd be interested to know from fellow PHers who have paid their deposit, or are thinking very seriously about doing so:

1. What car are you coming out of to replace with the New Vantage
2. Your spec/colour chioce and what options are you considering
3. Have you been given an indication of build date?
4. Final rule - You must post pics of your Vantage on delivery biggrin

As some of you know I went from a V12VS to a McLaren 540C last year. I had a truly brilliant year with it and all of the massively positive attention it got. Highlight was a fabulous trip (apart from the 180 Euro fine that is!) round the South of France and Italian Riviera...it was faultless. I now have a new love...the new Vantage!
