Aston DB9 window regulator

Anyone here had a broken drivers side door window regulator go BAAAAANNNG on them ?

Is getting the door cards off a simple matter (please say yes)
And does it cost less to fix than the current GDP of Canada ?

If its similar to the Vantage then yes door card off and it just plugs in. Once of the sockets is very fiddly, otherwise easy DIY job and £250 part from Indy

Fairly easy to get the door card off. Divinatech has a great guide. Shouldn't be too expensive but prices vary wildly (WILDLY) between vendors/dealerships/etc.

Thanks guys just priced a new unit off Aston Martin Bits for £250 thought it was going to be an arm and both legs for it.

I had a 2007 DB9 that the driver's door window would behave oddly on and eventually realised it was going to need a new drivers door unit. However thankfully it took me so long to get round to this that the unit eventually sorted itself out and all worked correctly as it should. I tried every reset and easy fix but nothing worked at the time. No idea why it started to work of its own accord in the end.

The door card is straight forward to remove.

When you get it off you will see this (2004 DB9 so may vary slightly dependent on MY)

Hi All,

my issue is the driver door windows keep failing after an hr or two, I tried the soft button-down 10sec button-up 10sec and also pulled the 82 and 83 fuses, seems to work for an hr or two then the window seems to drop each time I get out, by two inches, then when I close the door the window is down by an extra inch, I worked out a trick, when the ignition is running open the door with the window up button pressed and take out key then close the door, seems to work but not a cool workaround.

Anyone knows a reasonable place in London to get the door module or regulator fixed. South west London, west, etc?

Probably loose wire, module, regulator??

It ended up being the door loom needing to be replaced and all I can say is WHM at Walton upon Thames are amazing, brilliant staff, job, turn around, well impressed.
