20” rims and lowered springs on a V8 Vantage

Have any of you guys put 20” alloys on a v8 Vantage (4.3l) with lowered springs ? I’m just looking a an upgrade and wondered if it’s possible.

Definitely possible, keep diameter of set up the same as OEM V8VS setup and care is needed not to drop it too low. I'm going to cover my experience of lowering the car in my thread over the next fews days. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Personally I think 20's are too much for the Vantage, it starts to look like a caricature. I think it looks just right with a well judged lowered and stanced 19 set up but this is my car and I'm bound to say that.

Yep been there, and done it

Orignally H&R Lowering springs





However found they dont work with the Bilstien Sports Pack Dampers as they sit too low at the back.

Swapped to the VelocityAP springs supplied and fitted at DAE and the ride and look was sooooo much better.

Also swapped back to 19"


To be fair there is not much difference in ride between the 19" and the 20" as long as you go for good tyres on them

Thanks for the replies. I’m getting the lowering springs from DAE, so assuming they’ll be the the same ones as yours (AP velocity). Sounds like it can be done in combination with 20”, just want to fill the arches a little more without it looking silly. Just don’t want any rubbing/knocking issues. I want to get some updated alloys, was going for 20”, but maybe 19” are the safest/easiest way to go. Your DBS alloys were the ones I were going to get, but found some ‘tuning fork’ style that might work.

I've also had Velocity AP lower springs fitted plus H&R 22mm spacers all round - fills the arches nicely

Mine has been lowered by 20mm all round and has 20" wheels. To me this improves the look and stance of the car.

What wheels, sizing/diameter, offsets is this? Tire sizes as well please!

Lilseevs, I want to drop my 07 Roadster, and put 20" tires like this, can you tell me what wheel configuration you used and what lowering springs and add ons ?Thanks Mike
