sports cats

Hi, long shot maybe but, is there anyone thinking of selling their 'sports cats' for a V8 Vantage?

I have some barely used sports cats for a 4.3 V8 (upgraded to a V12 about 100 miles later and took them off to p/x). Back box too.

I have some prodrive 200 cell sports cats just taken off my 4.3 Vantage.

Warning, they do make your car sound so much better !!

are the original cats very restrictive and do 200 cell sportscats just improve the noise or do they release a couple of horses as well ? Any implications for MIL lights or mapping?

Supposedly release 15bhp or so and no need for mapping or MIL issues with sports cats, basically a straight swap over ...90 mins labour at your local exhaust place...

new they are about £1000-1300 depending on where you go

I have a good contact at Milltek sport if anyone is looking for sports/race cats they are great for making top qaulity custom stuff with 100 or 200 cell cats in at a very sensible price with correct lambda bosses etc. They are in the process of making me some road legal race cats for a bit more oomph and noise!

I'd take some decat pipes for a 4.7 if anyone has any knocking about unloved.

Looking at your profile you have a 4.7, so if its the later you may have Primary Cats in the Manifold and then Secondary Cats, if this is the case just get some decat pipes instead as you will still have the primary in the manifold

However if its an earlier 4.7 then yes go for a set of 200 cells

It's an early 4.7 (end of '09) so I know they are same set up as 4.3, thanks all the same
