Guess it all depends.

If the car has impeccable AML SH then I'd buy a new service book. If it doesn't then I'd just carry on as is and keep the invoices and paperwork to prove it's been done. I'm sure proof it's been serviced is far more important than how it's recorded.

Surely a main dealer will just add an additional page as needed when you service it? The service books are all ring bound (albeit with a screw) so should be very simple to add an extra page.

Just had it done at grange Welwyn and told the additional pages are expensive so they won’t bother to stamp it .
Pretty rubbish really as it’s an immaculate DBS with full history - or it was until year 9 as there’s nowhere to stamp now .

Just photocopy some blank pages and reuse those with the updated mileages.

I can send you this PDF by email if you wish - just print onto whatever weight of paper you wish to use and then some tidy boy scout work with scissors and a hole punch - my AML service people are more than happy to stamp it

Genuine pages are cheap as chips. About a tenner and gives you another 10 years or so

This happened to my DB9 a few years back and the dealer just inserted new pages into the existing book. From memory they had the cheek to charge me though although it was only a few pounds

I agree that, in the context of servicing an Aston, £10 is not worth bothering over. However AM are properly taking the piss by charging £10 for a couple of sheets of printed paper that probably cost a couple of pence at most. If I'm forking over £800 to service my car with them then charging me £10 for the paper that my stamp needs to go on is a pretty poor show.

I've never got why they didn't just put a couple more in there in the first place, it's a pointless and unnecessary hassle.

I had this issue with my previous DB9. I removed an existing page from my service book (just removed the screws holding it together). I then scanned this page to a PC, both sides. I then edited the image erasing the completed parts and stamps and copied the text style to show year 10, 11 and so on. I then printed this double sided page off cut it out, hole punched it and added it to my service book. Voila I had lots of new service stamp availability.

Yes I agree if they are serving the car they should put at the the 1 additional sheet for free to cover that service.

I do my own services at work using better Millers oil with a genuine filter and plug then stamp my book.

So my total cost is next to nothing in comparison. Thats why I thought the extra pages where a good price lol wink

Just had my car serviced at Grange Welwyn and additional pages added at a total cost of approx £50!!! That includes labour and VAT! It’s outrageous. And they haven’t even got the correct miles on them, they are having to overwrite with what the service mileage should be.

That is pretty outrageous even for Aston Martin. Have you paid yet? I'd be tempted to refuse, ask them to take out the pages, and say you'll be back in a week with some clean ones for them to stamp. I'll bet they'll knock the £50 off. I had my 9th service at a local indy recently and they just put the pages in for me, they said they are supposed to charge for it but never do.

I'm sure I only paid about a tenner when my AM dealer put additional pages in the service book of my first Vantage - probably about 5 or 6 years ago now.

Not sure why anyone would pay for them when they are available for free.......just a bit of printer ink and a sheet of A4.

Picked up a friends 57 plate a few weeks back from Harwoods and they had added the extra pages in for free.

Damn, the timing of threads... Paid £12 at Chiltern Aston for pukka pages about 2 weeks ago.

Mind you, the faff of scanning, photoshopping, printing, punching etc I'm happy!
