Help please lots of water coming from fan and soaking carpet. No obvious source and no obvious drain hose.

Yes it has a cover and slackening off torque bolts lets it out faster.

Has your coolant level dropped? My guess is the heater matrix or pipe going into it has failed. I had this before on another car.

Still not sure where you mean the water is coming from - from an air vent?

Could the heater matrix be leaking?

My money is in drain pipe as I have just had exactly the same issue .... and now need a new fan.

There is a drain hole up there and it’s very hard to find !!

My specialist found it and blew it through, seems ok now.

Pretty sure heater matrix is in middle ( happy to be corrected!)

Apparently when they put in a new clutch sometimes the drain pipe gets stuck up behind the belhousing and drains into the car.

Dont suppose it’s had a new clutch recently ?

This ^^

The pipe that drains part of the aircon system (condenser?) exits under the car between the bell housing and left bank exhaust. When work is done here (clutch, changing cats etc.) the mechanic tends to bend the pipe up on itself out of the way. If they forget to put it back afterwards it is kinked and hence blocked so the water wells up and spills into the footwell. I think you'll need to get it up on a ramp and take the cat off to return the pipe to its correct position.

If this is the case the water in your footwell will be clear and odourless (as it is condensation) rather than contain coolant. Try tasting it yikes

I tasted mine !! It tasted a bit salty but not too much like acid ..... what does coolant taste like ?

I have also wondered where the water goes from the scuttle at the bottom of the windscreen ? It has to go somewhere ?

Since my spoecialist blew out the drain tube he found mine seems to be better, my weekend job is to try and work out where all the drain holes are.

I have only just bought mine and all the rear ones and fuel filler ones were blocked as the previous owner haddnt botthered with the car really for 18 months and mine now lives outside and is my daily

I will post some picture of what I find this weekend !!

It's generally quite sweet. It is also very very bad for you (at least, the glycol ones are). I overfilled my 360 coolant tank a couple of years ago, and decided to suck some out - but it came out quicker than I thought, and I swallowed it (reflex action). At first it didn't bother me - then I read the back of the bottle and discovered just how likely it was to kill me!

Obviously a drop or so won't do any harm, but it's really not nice stuff - causes most of your internal organs to shut down if you have too much.

I think it must go out at the front of the door opening as I tend to find some snow foam in there (on the driver's side) after I've washed it.

Coolant level normal. Can’t find a drain hose for AC . Water seems cold and clear with no odour. Below glove box is a flat black cover held in place with torque screws. Water runs out of this

If you find it !! Can you take some photos and post them please as I will have to find mine at some point !!

I found this was full of rubbish, now blown out and used long handle tweezers to get leaves and dirt out. I think this was my issue

And under the dash I have these pipes, that I suspect are ac pipes. Thanks don’t have a black panel
