Reprogramming valet key for Vantage

Bought a second valet key (the black anonymous one) with my last Vantage so that I don’t have to use the glass one.

Just been told that “Aston Martin ECUs can only be programmed once I am told and we have no way of transferring from one to the other!” by AM Bristol.

Is there any way to force a reflash of these keys officially or not? Don’t want that key to go to waste.

They can be reused but you need to have the security numbers that came with the key on a card...
Effectively you program the car to recognise the key, so in theory one key could be used for a couple of cars.
