I'm living dangerously and choose not to renew the warranty on my Vanquish, which means I no longer have Aston Martin breakdown cover, should the worst happen I'm going to need UK and European cover for the car. Can you lot recommend any providers?

Always found AA fine on non covered cars.
Not sure I’d want to actually drive my defender as far as Europe though.

It would be worth checking with your insurer, mine included breakdown cover as part of my policy. They added European cover at no additional cost.

Mine is on a multi-car deal with Greenflag, can't remember the exact cost but it was a bargain with both cars on European cover and certainly less than £100 a year for the pair.

My limited experience with Greenflag over the years (thankfully) has always been good, with very efficient call centre staff and fast response times.

I use RAC breakdown cover. The one that covers you, not specifically the car.

I don't drive to Europe often so just pay for a single cover if I need it.

worth checking three places:

1) Your bank account, sometimes they include car breakdown insurance for free - I know NWB do for example on some accounts

2) your car insurance - (as mentioned above) some car insurance providers also offer car breakdown insurance either free or chargeable

3) your house insurance - some house insurance providers also offer car breakdown insurance deals

if all else fails, the std RAC & AA I have seen better prices for their products via the likes of quidco.
