Used my Sat nav for the first time yesterday —- what a load of rubbish! Now my car probably still has it’s original 2007 disc in it so does it get any better if I update the disc?
In particular, my current set up won’t let me input full postcodes eg I can get to say CV35 0 and that’s it, I have to chose a road from a list shown in part of the screen below. Would the updated disc allow me to finish the example to CV35 0DB .
TIA, David

I used mine on Monday for the first time. My has a 2012 (2007 car)disc and does accept full post codes. It’s not amazing but did the job

Sooner have it than not

get the update disc. I think mine was about £25. Its a volvo disc. I got an update disc from these guys but there are other suppliers.

Just need to know if you have a DVD version of the hard drivbe version.

Updated disc gives full post code usage. makes it better but not as good as waze or a garmin/tomtom unit.

Thanks fellas, will get an updated disc probably from Satnavishop, £29.99 and see how I get on! Fall back is google maps on my iPhone which I think are very good.

I have factory sat navs in all 3 cars we have, yet have not used any of them for years. google maps on the phone is always up to date.

Factory sat navs are usually out of date by the time the car has actually launched, let alone 10 years later smile
