yes, they will inspect and take something off for every little stone chip, scratch, scuff, and refurb all the alloys etc etc using a menu of prices.
Having said that, I've used them a couple of times and its at least easy, just be prepared for a final price that's less. It was explained to me that basically all the cars end up at British Car Auctions (who own webuyanycar) and what you are going through is a pre-inspection process that will be used to grade the car at the auction

Yes I know. People don’t like the prices but they do reflect the value of our cars.
Just add 10% and that’s it’s real value. Bit more private sale and More if buying from a dealer
With warranty.
I could just leave it in a garage for 10 years and V12 cars will be sort after when we are driving electric cars?

I used them when selling my 911 to buy a V8 Vantage two cars ago. Their offer was about 15% above the pricing I was getting from retailers, by part exchange. So went to Mcgurk's with cash in my pocket and made a deal. The inspection on the 911 was very fair, they knocked off £50 for one very small dent that they found. Paid a bit extra and the money was in my account that day. Give them a try, if they knock you down more than you want, just walk away.

Is that for the 2008 DB9 in your profile pic? If so, it doesn't seem bad at all. Out of interest I put my 2010 Vantage in and it was coming out £20-25k less than typical Autotrader asking prices....so presumably £10k less than trade.
My experience is WBAC is normally at trade money, about 15% behind average retail (not the highest priced equivalent)Surprised if they are as far as £10k off trade - unless it a car they just don’t want.
As a guide they were within £1500 - on the last 3 cars I sold to trade (mini JCW, Disco 4 and Cayenne)
In all 3 cases the traders retailed the cars for 10% to 12.5% more than they gave me.

Yep, agreed that's what it usually is, but seems to vary. Complex algorithms?! I put replacement I was thinking of buying in as well ... a 2017 Vantage Roadster S with 13k miles. Came up at £46k. On sale currently at £70k....Surprised if they are as far as £10k off trade - unless it a car they just don’t want.

I'd expect them to be around trade (CAP average) for cars that they can sell quickly/easily through BCA. However, for more specialist cars, I'd expect that they would build in an additional healthy cushion and offer significantly below trade.....that was what my (and Soofsayers) examples would suggest. This is why I was saying that the OP seemed to have a decent enough offer from them if it's the 2008 car.
I've put my car into WBAC a few times and immediately disregarded it. Even on a fairly cheap car they will offer thousands less than you could sell for privately with just a few hours effort.
If you can't be arsed with classified ads take a few pics of your car and stick it on eBay with a low starting price but a reserve equal to the WBAC bid. The car will sell, you'll get thousands more than WBAC have offered, and it's actually *less* effort because you don't need to get yourself to one of their centres. If it doesn't hit the reserve you've lost nothing other than a negligible listing fee.
I've done this exact process with several cars over the years and always ended up getting more money for less effort.
