Vaguely thinking about replacing my MY2010.75 with a newer Vantage. I know various ‘S’ improvements came in with 2012.25 - do these make the car feel much different? I’d probably be looking at around 2015 - would it be worth stretching to the latest dash style (late 2015 / early 2016), and are there any other changes worth looking out for.

I don’t want to leave the brand, but am concerned that a newer Vantage might feel like “more of the same” (it would be my fourth Vantage!).

P.s. Before anyone suggests it, I have the AM Bible biggrin

I have also looked at the "newer" models post-2012 and for the price premium, I can't see the point.

The newer dash is a personal choice, just like when it changed in 2008/09. Some will prefer the older, original dash.
I will never drive the car at its fullest potential. I can scare myself at 7/10ths!!!!!
I personally wouldn't need the "S enhancements" or to be on that point of the depreciation curve.

PH have them between £65k - £85k. If you feel OK to lose some cash in depreciation (£15K in next 3 years?), then go for it, but what you have just now is very stable.
All about choice and available cash, I suppose.

Another reason I'm not keen is that the wife has already suggested divorce if I ever think of "upgrading".
Sort of focuses the mind somewhat! hehe

Depends, the Roadster has more changes at 2012.25 than the coupe as by default it comes with sports suspension.

So you get a quicker rack, wider wheels n tyres, sports suspension, and the bigger brakes. Certainly the suspension is an acquired taste based on the kinds of road you drive on and your style. The brakes are really good. Tyres/wheels more cosmetic, I cant tell the difference for road use.

Depends how new you upgrade and how you buy. Trading in at a dealer and buying from a dealer is most expensive, you get book price and pay top price before you account for future depreciation. If you sold private and bought from a motivated private seller you could reduce the cost to change significantly.

Thanks both....you're both the voice of reason; I think I've just got "itchy car feet" - ha ha! It sounds like the newer models don't feel much different.

I guess I sort of hoped a 2-3 year old car might 'feel' significantly newer in terms of responsiveness or build quality (though this seems to vary more per car than by age..current one is good, but I think my early 2006 one was actually the best put together, and my 2009 Vantage was definitely the more rattly!).
