Wiper arm swap.

There was a thread where someone installed/modified the early DB9 wiper arms to the more discreet late type but I cannot find the thread or any pics of the end result.

Does anyone have a link to it please?

There was one about taking the connectors off a Ford Mondeo wiper arm so that the later style blades would fit, if that’s what you mean? I’ve since noticed that the same connector sections are on quite a few other cars.

The poster of that solution may see your post and reply, and he kindly gave me some guidance. I got a set of Mondeo arms, drilled out the electric welds, cut and modified a (spare) set of Vantage wiper arms, and fitted the Mondeo ends. However, despite playing around with it I found that the spring wasn’t strong enough to hold them flat to the screen, and actually the arm itself didn’t sit very much flatter anyway. I went back to original wiper arms and fitted Michelin Stealth blades, which look much neater than original.

I might be interested in putting Michelin Stealth Blades too, what size is good for the V8V? They're just plug & play right?

Yep, direct fit on older style wiper arms. You need a 24" and a 20" on these (may be different on the later wiper arms). In combination with the older style wiper arms I find the Stealths neater than the Bosch Aero blades.

I recently installed the later style (2012+) AM Aero wiper arms to my 2007 V8VR and fitted them with Michelin Stealth wiper blades.
The newer style arms are a straight swop from the older style arms (mine were in very poor paint condition and spoiled the car)

The Michelin Stealth wiper blades are very reasonable priced (I got mine in Costco for £15 for the pair.
I have also bought a set of Bosch Aero Style wiper blades which I prefer the look of on the newer style wiper arms, again these are very reasonable priced at £20 for the pair.
Considering the AM wiper blades are £69 for a pair the Michelin and Bosch are good value

I'm about to take delivery of a 2009 DBS and want to retrofit aero blades, don't the retrofits from Bosch etc. fit the older hook arms?

Do you have details of the pricing, part no's etc. for the 2012 MY on arms you bought please?

Carl, this should help you … Btw, well worth to change in my opinion, looks even better and slick compared to the „old“ ones. Did it on my V8V as well.

is it just me that prefers the "old" style ones? they work better (throw less drips across the screen when in use) and look more classic and of their time - my v8v is over 15 years old now so there doesn't seem much point trying to make it look a couple of years newer?

I like the look of the later arms but at £500.00 plus VAT excluding blades, I will cope with the older style.
