Hi folks,

Hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this. My car has these wheels fitted:

These AFAIK are the 19" diamond turned 10 spoke wheels, that I believe were a factory option. What I am really struggling with is finding out the widths of the wheels as I am shopping for tyres. The vantage v8 seemed to come with 8.5 wide front wheels and wither 9.5 or 10" wide rear wheels depending on wheel choice. The car currently has 235 width tyres on the front and 275 tyres on the back but I wonder if this is right and whether for these wheels it should be 245 on the front and 285 on the back? Does anyone know for sure?

If that is correct and it should have wider width tyres it gives me a bit of a quandry as I really wanted to put Michelin PS4S on and they don't seem to come in a 245/40/19 size?

Any thoughts would be very welcome.

the 8.5" wheel normally takes the 235 width but you could fit a 245 width tyre if you wanted to

the 10.5" wheel usually takes a 275 tyre but again you could fit a 285 - just check with your tyre shop

on the V12 the fronts are 9.0" and take a 255, rears are 11.0' and take a 295 or 305 tyre

hope that helps

Oddly this design of wheel came with both a 9.5 and 10" rear options. The 9.5" was the option on the MY10 model with 235+275 tyres and then the same design was offered in a 10" rear with 245+285 tyres after the Vantage S was released. I have the former but have put on the wider Michelin PS4S tyres. They are available in NZ (as can be seen in the selection on the website below) but it seems they may not have been released everywhere.

The wider tyres have a slightly taller side wall and a slightly larger rolling radius but I really don't think it makes a lot of difference.

Thanks all for the replies.

Drac - I thought that might be the case. Mine is a MY10 car so would have the 9.5" versions fitted.

At least that resolves my question - I'll put the 235/275 combo on which you can get in PS4S. A little shame though as the front wheel would aesthetically benefit from the 245 tyre IMO.

Thanks for the help.

As drac says, that design was available in 8.5 / 9.5 on V8 models and 8.5 / 10 on V8S models.

If yours has the 275 rear tyres then the wheels will most likely be 9.5

Thanks for the help.

I've just ordered 4 new PS4S in the 235/275 combo, hopefully these will give me a bit more traction smile
