fueling issues

The car will only draw about 16 gallons(US) even when completely dry!
Does anybody know what the problem might be?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, are you saying you can only get 16 US gallons in from empty?

You don't state which model you have, but if for example it's a V8 Vantage I think they have an 80 litre tank, I doubt every litre is usable so let's say 75 litres to the fuel warning light coming on, in my rough calculations that will give a tank capacity of around 16.5 US gallons, so that's normal.

The car is a 2001 Vantage Volante with 89 litres (24.5 US gallons) capacity.
Yes, the car will only draw 16 gallons and it's out of fuel.
