Hi,

There’s a sacrificial hard plastic strip under the front splitter on my Vanquish S Ultimate that has come loose in the middle after visiting some of the French Champagne houses and their awkward cobbled dipped entrances.

Is this easily replaced and any idea of cost?

Thanks
Pete

Yep. Broke mine recently. If it’s just the plastic lip you can get one from Aston bits. It was about £30 from memory. Just held on with a few screws.

Not trying to hijack this topic but.... what a cool problem to have!

I remember I once phoned up the Range Rover dealer and bought a set of thick pile matts for my Range Rover. I then asked them to put them in the boot/trunk of my Aston Martin which was next door getting serviced. I thought that was quite a cool thing to ask.

Scratching the bottom lip of a Vanquish when visiting Champagne vineyards, that has mine beat!!

I think it's called a lower splitter. Hadn't spotted on the thread that you drive a Vanquish. Mines a Vantage & I'm guessing a lot cheaper than one for a Vanquish! Is it carbon or just the plastic? Carbon could be very expensive.

Do you mean 18 in the picture?

This is HD33-5E206-BB Front lower gurney £47.02+vat

Technically it is an aerodynamic aid as opposed to being sacrificial. If it has come loose, it may just need a couple of new fasteners or washers on the fixings.

Fantastic, yes, that’s the fella. I’ll try and take a closer look now I’m home and see if it just needs new fixings.

Totally off topic but just back from a week in the Lakes where there was lots of percussion biglaugh with a lovely Vanquish Ultimate, and two Vantage AMR’s regularly bottoming out eek on some very interesting roads but with some awesome views smile

I’ve never been under mine, so this thread makes for a really good read... the scraping noise, on the odd occasions one can’t avoid driveways etc, will no longer sound quite so expensive!

Out of curiosity, where did you stay? Always worry about car park ground clearance (especially where they are underground). Selosse’s hotel looks like it’d work, but recommendations always appreciated.
