As the national dab coverage is looking rather better these days I'm looking to have a mod done on my 2013 DB9 fm/am radio to receive DAB.

A number of companies out there like car communications and McGurk will do a retro dab fit.

Anyone out there taken the retro fit jump with success?

I have a DAB retro kit fitted by Mcgurks to my DB9, it does work well, the only criticism is the handheld remote is abit slow changing channels, you see the channel info on the display.

You do also see a small DAB aerial stuck to the front windscreen on the passenger side.

Overall it is good, nice to have DAB in the car.

How much did they charge for supply and fitting plus was there any other locations they could fitted the aerial?

Keep thinking about this as the 1955 developed FM does the B&O no justice. Does this kit feed in via aux or is it FM modulated in and 'tuned into' (thereby killing anything above 15khz immediately)?

I didn't pay for it as it came with the car but i've got a receipt from the previous owner and it was £245 plus VAT in 2016.

I don't know if you can relocate the aerial.

Give Mcgurks a call they are really good guy's.

As it happens I spoke to McGurk about this for my V8V just last week - for various entirely understandable reasons they are no longer offering this upgrade (albeit I'd recommend checking for yourself if you are interested as I'd hate to do them out of business!).

Can I suggest you try Aston Installations. They are specialists in all things Aston audio related. They really know their stuff. Did some work on my V8v and great people.

It seems they will do a retro fit for £350, wonder if anyone has previously had such a fit before?
