Can anyone help? Both door mirrors on my V8 Vantage have become slightly loose and, after driving at speed, the wind pushes them slightly inwards and out of position. Any idea how I can get inside the mirror housing to tighten them up? The Workshop Manual is no good as it only gives advice on how to change the entire housing. I am reluctant to be too aggressive in removing the mirror.... Suggestions?

Use a plastic trim tool to pop off the back cover, start at the edge nearest the door at the bottom of the cap. It does take a little practice though!.

Let me know if you need any more help.

I figured out part of the problem but not how to tighten the mirror. Under the a mirror there are two torque screws that you remove (getting access by swinging the mirror). This allows you to removed the mirror assembly from the stawk. You can then access two small clips that hold the outer cover to the mirror frame. You need a screwdriver to push the two clips which then release the outer shell. Having said that, I couldn't figure out how to tighten the mirror to stop it being pushed out of alignment.
